BACKGROUND
After inheriting three vineyard sites from his grandfather, Eduardo, an experienced fifth-generation winemaker, ventured out in 2018 to establish Cuentaviñas. His passion for wine, entrepreneurial mindset, extensive knowledge from his time at Sierra Cantabria, Viñedos de Páganos, Teso la Monja, and academic background set this ambitious project's foundation.

At Cuentaviñas, Eduardo Eguren fully embraces the role of a vigneron, masterfully combining the responsibilities of winemaker, vineyard manager, and marketer.
The project's heart lies in the philosophy of being a 'vineyard-teller' (cuentaviñas). Eduardo dedicates himself to the meticulous care of each aspect of the vineyard. This dedication ensures that Cuentaviñas encapsulates the unique story of its origin. He lives and breathes each site and translates this expression into the bottle. For Eduardo, it is not about 'making' wine but 'cultivating' it.

Alongside Eduardo in this venture is his wife, Carlota González. This duo brings to life the essence of the 'new Spain' in winemaking. The wines are characterized by a balance of classic Spanish power and a fresh, elegant new style.
